If you own Logic Pro, then you know how much musical power is sitting inside your Mac.
From amps to synths, Drummer to Flex Pitch, there really is nothing you can't accomplish for your songs. With headphones and a small recording interface - you're ready to make some amazing music.
What could be more fulfilling than making music?
Creating a song full of life and emotion out of thin air! And being able to do it all from the comfort of your personal space.
(The Beatles' wish they had been so lucky back in the '60s.)
And once you've nailed all the performances you need, the next inevitable step is to mix your song.
Writing can be easy and sometimes it's hard. But writing is always fun.
You definitely bought Logic with the excitement to mix your music. Logic provides all the professional tools you need to take the sound you hear in your head to come out of the speakers.
And armed with Logic's EQ, Compressor, Reverbs, and Delays - you're ready to bring your song to life.
So you set aside an evening to finish up your new song. Using the tricks and tips you learned on YouTube, everything seems easy enough:
- Use EQ to hi-pass over here
- Use Panning to spread out your mix
- Use Compression (not too much!) to tighten things up over there
- Use Reverb to add ambience and glue
Sounds pretty good, right? So you bounce out your finished mix and check it out in the car or on your Bluetooth speaker.
Well...it's not quite what you hoped for.
Instead of a mix with clarity and space, the mix sounds a bit:
Muddy... Indistinct... Demo-y.
Your goal definitely isn't to be an A-list producer or mix engineer. You just want your song to sound good enough to share with other people.
So where do you go from here? You can either:
Spend years trying to learn about mixing through YouTube tutorials online,
Learn over the shoulder of your own personal Mix Mentor, who will show you exactly what they did and why they did it.
And your Logic Project is at the center of the whole experience!
Sound interesting? Let me show you how Mix Mentor works:
HOW MIX MENTOR WORKS
Most mix engineers mix your music by themselves. They mix your song and only share the final music files with you.
MIX MENTOR goes FAR beyond that. When you choose Mix Mentor, you'll receive:
- A professionally mixed and mastered song using only the Logic plugins
- Two rounds of mix revisions so you're able to direct the mixing process to meet your vision
- The completely mixed Logic Project for you to own and learn from
- PLUS: I'll share the strategies I used to mix your song in your own personal mix session walkthrough video
STEP 1. UPLOAD YOUR PROJECT
You'll upload one of your Logic Pro songs to Mix Mentor’s private upload service. Then answer a couple questions to help me understand the sound you’re after.
My goal is to help you get the mix you hear in your head to come out of the speakers.
After that you can sit back and take it easy! I’ll get right down to mixing your project.
And I use only the native Logic Pro plugins.
2. LISTEN & GIVE FEEDBACK
Once the first mix is complete, you’ll receive a high-quality mp3 to listen to.
This is your chance to listen to the mix and take it all in. And if there’s anything you’d like to change – no problem!
Every Mentorship Project receives 2 rounds for mix revisions.
Write down all the revisions you’d like to hear, and I’ll update the mix. You even get a 2nd chance in case there’s anything we missed in round 1.
3. ENJOY A POLISHED MIX – PLUS ALL THE SECRETS
Once all revisions are finished and you’re satisfied, you’ll receive:
* The fully mixed and mastered Logic Project file
* A personalized walkthrough video where I share what I did and why I did it
* A professionally mixed & mastered song
Not only do you receive a pristine mixed and mastered track. But you also receive the FULL Logic Pro Project File for you to dissect and learn from.
But I want to make sure you get the full value from your Mentorship.
That's why I make sure to share all the strategies I used to mix your song with your own personalized video walking you through the mix session.
Of all the resources on the web on Logic and mixing in general, yours have been the most useful to me. You approach the problem from a musician's perspective, not from that of a tech obsessed engineer. Thank you again and keep up the good work.

MEET YOUR MENTOR
Hey there! I'm Chris Vandeviver, producer and mix engineer from Rochester, NY.
I've been a Logic Pro user for the last 10+ years, and have mixed projects for musicians from all over.
My website Why Logic Pro Rules helps thousands of people every month get the most out of Logic Pro.
WHY CHOOSE MIX MENTOR?
1. It’s an education all about YOUR music.
Watching videos about mixing is nice. But what do you do when the lessons don't work for your mix? With Mix Mentor, your song is the center of the whole experience.
2. No bounces, exports, or stems required.
You use Logic Pro. Wouldn't it be nice if your engineer did too? With Mix Mentor, there's no cross-DAW confusion. Just upload your Logic Pro project and away we go.
3. Your track – professionally mixed and mastered.
The difference between a decent mix and a GREAT mix is a song that you can't stop listening to. Why not hear your music the way it was meant to be heard?
4. See everything that goes on "behind the curtain" of a great mix and master.
Most mix engineers are a closed book when it comes to mixing your music. But how does that help you? Mix Mentor opens the curtain and reveals everything that goes into making your track sound great.
5. Custom, personal feedback all about YOUR project.
Not only do you get see how I mixed your music, but you get to know why I did it. A personalized tutorial all about your mix. The result? The mindset and workflow of a pro at your fingertips.
