Mix Lab โ€” Why Logic Pro Rules

Why Logic Pro Rules

Mix Lab

A live monthly session where I open real mixes, diagnose what's holding them back, and show you exactly what I'd fix first.

20 spots only. When they're gone, they're gone.

Here's how it works.

Simple. Live. No prep required on your end.

1

Register and optionally submit your mix

After registering you'll get a link to submit your Logic Pro project or stems ahead of the session. Submission is optional โ€” but strongly encouraged. More on that below.

2

Join the live Zoom session

I open selected mixes cold โ€” no prep, no polish โ€” and narrate exactly what I hear. What's working, what isn't, and why. You watch me think out loud in real time.

3

Walk away with clarity

Every mix that gets selected leaves with 1-3 specific, actionable next steps. Not vague suggestions โ€” actual moves you can make in your next session. Q&A is open throughout.

4

Rewatch anytime

The full session is recorded. You'll have lifetime access to the replay in your WLPR student account โ€” so you can revisit the feedback on your mix or anyone else's whenever you need it.

The most valuable seat is the one where your mix is on the table.

You'll learn from every mix that gets opened โ€” that's the nature of the format. But there's nothing quite like hearing a professional diagnose your specific mix, in front of you, live.

Submit your mix. Put it on the table.

After registering, you'll receive a submission link. Share your Logic Pro project or stems before the session and you're in the pool for selection. I select 6-8 mixes based on variety and what will be most instructive for the group.

If your mix isn't selected this session, it goes to the top of the queue for next time.

Don't want to submit? You're still welcome. You'll learn plenty just from watching.

What you get.

  • ๐ŸŽ›

    Live 90-minute diagnostic session

I open real mixes and work through them live. No scripts, no prepared demos. Just honest, unfiltered feedback on real music.

  • ๐ŸŽฏ

1-3 actionable next steps (if your mix is selected)

Not "your low end needs work." Specific moves โ€” what to adjust, why, and what to listen for afterward.

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ

    Open Q&A throughout

Ask questions about your mix, anyone else's, or anything you're working through. This isn't a webinar โ€” it's a conversation.

  • ๐Ÿ“น

Lifetime access to the session recording

The full session lives in your WLPR student account. Rewatch the feedback on your mix, revisit techniques, or catch anything you missed.

What past workshop attendees say.

"One of the most helpful things was experiencing being part of a music community that has the same kind of questions that I have regarding Logic. When I sign up to a workshop with someone I trust, I put more commitment and energy into absorbing and using the information."

Kate N.

WLPR Vocal Production Workshop attendee

"I knew it would be worthwhile if I only picked up one new method or process. The in-situ flow of how you attacked it was interesting โ€” and there were new ideas I hadn't considered. Your videos and the workshop are far more balanced, and you make a point of leaving room for consideration of varied musical styles."

Questions.

What if my mix isn't selected?

You still get the full session โ€” watching me diagnose other mixes is genuinely instructive regardless of whose work is on the table. And if you choose to attend next month's session, your mix goes to the top of the queue for selection.

Do I have to submit a mix to attend?

No. Submission is optional. But if you want direct feedback on your work, submitting is the only way to get it โ€” so I strongly encourage it.

What format should I submit?

A Logic Pro project file is preferred โ€” it gives me the most context to work with. If your session uses third-party plugins I may not have, stems work too. Full submission details are sent after you register.

Is this a subscription?

No. $97 per session, purchased separately. Mix Lab runs monthly โ€” you register for whichever sessions work for you.

Will this session be recorded?

Yes. By registering you consent to the session being recorded for replay purposes. If your mix is selected, it will be included in the recording made available to other attendees.

What if I can't make it live?

The recording will be in your WLPR student account after the session. You won't be able to ask questions live, but you'll have lifetime access to everything that happened.

What genre or style works best?

Any โ€” though Mix Lab is best suited for song-based productions: rock, pop, indie, singer-songwriter, electronic, hip-hop. If you're working in orchestral or heavily sample-based film scoring, reach out before submitting and we'll figure out if it's a good fit.
